Overview

Twenty-one days linking six major cities with the Yangtze gorges, a journey that moves from Beijing's imperial axis to the Buddhist art of Xi'an and Chengdu's pandas. You climb Tianmen Mountain above Zhangjiajie, board a Yangtze cruise ship in Chongqing to drift past Fengdu, Baidi City and the Three Gorges Dam, then finish among Shanghai's riverfront and Suzhou's gardens. The length allows each region its own rhythm, with occasional free afternoons to absorb the pace. A sweeping route for travellers who want breadth without skipping the headline sights. Includes the intercity high-speed trains, the Yangtze cruise ship and flight, a private vehicle, and an English-speaking guide.
