Let Xingping be one chapter.
A river landscape deserves more than a transfer window. Pair Xingping with a short walk in the old streets, then choose one viewpoint or river activity rather than trying to collect them all. An early start leaves the afternoon free for a slower return to your base.
Choose a countryside day.
Around Yangshuo, small lanes and the Yulong River offer a different pace from the larger Li River scenery. Plan either a bicycle outing or a gentle village walk, with a lunch stop and room to pause. Tell your guide how far you actually want to walk or ride.
Keep a weather alternative.
An outdoor itinerary benefits from one flexible half-day. A cooking session, a local market visit or time in a village café can take the place of a longer landscape outing. Agree these choices while planning so the day still feels intentional when the weather changes.
